Success is here, success is now

How do you define “success”?

Often we think of it as somewhere we will arrive, one day, after achieving something or creating a set of life circumstances.

This might mean a certain turnover, bank balance, job title or qualification. It might mean being able to finance a dream holiday or being a published author. The collection of external measures we use as our success yardsticks will be as unique as we are.

But what if we’re looking in the wrong place?

What if success isn’t a destination? What if it’s a process of ever more deeply knowing and expressing who we really are, through our work, through our relationships, through the thousands of ways we can do this every day whenever we’re living in the present moment? What if, rather than being what we strive towards, the external measures that would have people look at us and say “that person is successful” are what tend to follow naturally when we live and work from the heart?

What if showing up, staying in the game even when we don’t feel like it, taking action, learning from the results without taking it personally, course-correcting then moving forward IS success? It’s what we’ll naturally do whenever we wake up out of the limiting stories our brains like to tell us about who we are and what’s possible for us, and into the present moment, where we can just take the next step with playful curiosity.

Life, and being an entrepreneur, are so much more fun when we are in touch with who we really are!
